AIR ASIA BLESSED WITH NEWBORN

On the evening of oct 21 , the stork delivered a healthy baby boy , while she was flying from Penang to Kuching. This the second babies for Liew.

Liew started feeling labor pains about 15 minutes into the flight and she alerted passenger next to her, who asked the flight attendant to help. An emergency re-route to to LCC Terminal, Kuala Lumpur was initiated while a member of the crew stayed with Liew to keep her calm. However the baby was too eager to see the world and he arrived safely at 2,000 feet as the aircraft approached LCCT to land. Coincidentally, Dr. Ronald Tang was on board and he facilitated the born with the assistance of flight attendants.

This is the first on-air birth for AirAsia and to mark the occasion AirAsia has presented Liew and her son , who she has named him Asia Liew Ya Hang, free flight for life! "Ya Hang" in Mandarin means AirAsia. When asked how she felt about the gifts, the tired new born ( Not new anymore. She mummed the second one ) smiled and said she was very happy about it.

AirAsia is also thankful to Dr. Tang for offering assistance and have awarded him with two complimentary tickrts to any destination within our network. When contacted by AirAsia Dr. Tang had this to say, " AirAsia did a great job. They were very effecient and helpful. The staff has done something significant by assuring and accompanying the mother at all times. The delivery was blessed with no complications. Everything was smooth and efficient. Well done to all".

This article I copied from airAsia inflight magazine Travel3SIXTYdegrees, complimentary copy given to me upon my request on my journey from Kuching to KL by AK5207 on Tuesdat 29th December 2009. I told the one of tthe crew members that there are numbers pf good materials that I want to include it in my blog. Thank you airAsia )

I WAS BLESSED WITH OLDBORN

FIRST: I already buckled myself into the seat No.7B center seat between on young female passanger and one Abang Haji on his way from Mukah to Temerloh. AK5207 supposed to take off at 1.55, but was informed by the counter crew , the flight was re-scheduled at2.15pm. Fine. But what puzzled me, the aircraft did not move ven after 2.15pm, 2.30pm, 2.45pm ad at 3.00pm I saw the clue. Problem. Not because of AirAsia. But one ugly character of one of the passengers was the cause. He smoke in the aircraft toilet and also usingphone talking with someone also in the toilet. This was monitored y the flight on duty and decided not to allow the said passengerto continue hisjourney. And later i saw, security personel also in and out of the aircraft. Moment later I saw the culprit walking out to the main door of the aircraft. Quite sometime the show was at the enrance. He refused to quit the aircraft. Time already 3.30pm. Soon I saw few Pilce Personel approached heir face at the tarmac. Show now was displayed on the staircase. But I admire the passangers showing their calmness. Theie civic thinking is very high.

Soon after that we saw the said guy has been escorted down from the staircase to the termilnal building. Big releived. The plain take off at around 3.45pm

SECOND: The plain reached KL LCCT tarmac safely at 4.50pm. But only by 5.50pm, I managed to board the Skybus after 1 hour waiting for the luggages to be appeared on the belt. Yes! Bus enroute from LCCT to KL Central depart around 6.20pm. During the journey, from the window's view, I admiring my country and its development. I am proud of it. But it never ended there. After passing through Sri Kembangan Rest Area, our bus BJD1279 sudddenly was moved to the side of the road and stopped. After few minutes, the driver on duty informed us ' belting putus".

So no choice, have to wait for the next moment of surprise. After a moment of nothing and feel stuffy inside the all-window-closed bus, I step down and try look for the driver. could not see him. He is at the back of the bus, struggling to remove the broken belt to enable him to replace with the new one. Its raining. In my mind, I do not have any confident on him. A driver cum mechanic. Its true. He is unable to solve the problem of the bus.Another Skybus passing by and stop. We thought it is a replacement bus. But no any instruction for us to board that bus. After sometime the said bus continue his journey.

And then we have been informed by the driver that he had requested the backup bus to ferry us to KL Central. Almost one hour later another bus stopped. Yes. It is our bus. But not the actual one. That bus also full of pasangers like us. So we boarded. We have to disload our luggage in the dark and the door of the luggage compartment is not holding itself properly. Easily it could knock down those who are in the battle struggling with the luggages, if not carefully handled. However we reached KL Central at 8.00pm safely. Tiredddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!.

I wonder if I could get a glass of complimentary drinks from AirAsia.

I reserved my remark and like to see if there are any comments from the followers of this blog.

Happy New Year 2010, and may 2010 bring us plenty goodies . Cheers!.

MISTERI SOLAT SUBUH

WAKTU YANG MENJADI SAKSI.

Pada hadith riwayat Abu Hurairah r.a. disebutkan bahawa bahawa Rasulullah s.a.w. menjelaskan tentang Malaikat penjaga malam.

AIDAN GENAP SATU TAHUN

Saya mempunyai dua orang cucu. Yang pertama Nur Imani lahir pada 20 Mei 2008. Yang kedua Aidan Sulaiman Hong Wu. Anak Satu Malaysia.

Sedap hidangannya.

Aidan diletakkan dikerusi kanak-kanak.

Demikian secoret kisah semalam.

FIVE YEARS ON FROM THE TSUNAMI

Five years on from the tsunami that battered Asia's shores, experts fear a new generation of coastal dwellers will be ill-prepared to face another giant wave as memories fade.

While sound alert systems have now been developed in many countries to forewarn governments of impending danger, getting that message out to seaside communities, and to children in particular, remains a challenge, they say.

The tidal wave that swept in on December 26, 2004 killed around 220,000 people and still haunts the beaches and coastal villages of the 12 countries devastated by the worst natural catastrophe to hit the region in decades.

But experts and officials fear that as time goes on and fear of the sea recedes, so too will the memory of what to do if another similar disaster strikes.

"Five years on, tsunami awareness is still very high. I would not be able to tell (if it will be the same) five or ten years from now," said Sanny Ramos Jegillos, crisis prevention regional director for the United Nations Development Programme.

"The reason it is difficult is that tsunamis historically don't occur in the same place within one or two generations," he explained. "The last tsunami in Sumatra before 2004 was in 1907 -- that's almost one hundred years and that's a long time for children to remember."

Since the Asian Tsunami hit five years ago, governments have made massive efforts and poured huge sums of money into improving the region's preparedness.

India spent 32 million dollars on a tsunami warning system designed to detect all earthquakes above a magnitude of six on the Richter scale in the Indian Ocean, apparently within 20 minutes.

Sri Lanka is ready to send SMS warning alerts to mobile phones in the event of a disaster, while Thailand has set up 103 towers equipped with loudspeakers along the coast and has increased its radio reach in the six provinces bordering the Andaman Sea.

But educating the population to encourage them to react efficiently and without panic in the event of another tsunami is complicated, said Al Panico, head of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies' (IFRC) tsunami recovery unit.

"In the alert system, messages get to governments when a disaster is imminent. Getting it to the people who need to act... to the people who need to protect themselves, that's where there is a gap," he said.

Malaysia, hit relatively lightly in 2004 with a death toll of 68, has 17 earthquake monitoring stations. But its authorities say work among the youth is needed.

"Since tsunamis are rare and when a tsunami occurs time is limited for evacuation, public education and awareness among the population at risk are necessary," said Yap Kok Seng, head of Malaysia's meteorological department.

Indonesia, which registered three quarters of all deaths that resulted from the tsunami, is lagging behind in its efforts.

"Many Indonesians are still clueless about tsunami disaster mitigation," said Danny Hilman Natawidjaja, an earthquake expert with the Indonesia Institute of Sciences.

"The drills from the Disaster Management Agency are yet to be effective. They have a lot to learn."

The country's Disaster Management Agency said about ten tsunami preparedness drills have been carried out since 2004 but "there is still a considerable amount of delay time in the tsunami early warning system," Natawidjaja said.

The key, said the experts, will be to teach the subject in schools.

On December 26, 2004, on the southern tourist isle of Phuket in Thailand, a ten-year-old British girl, Tilly Smith, saved one hundred lives when she used her knowledge of tsunamis from a recent geography lesson to clear the beach.

Experts hope this ideal carries into Asia's schools.

"We need to continue to prepare the next generation and this cannot be done without integrating awareness into the school curriculum," added UNDP's Sanny Ramos Jegillos. (By Didier Lauras/ AFP)

Kiasu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kiasu is a word that literally means 'fear of losing'

However its actual usage would imply a meaning more approaching that of "dog in a manger", and yet not quite. Examples of kiasu behaviour includes accumulating too much food on one's plate during a buffet lunch in case there is no more later, or joining a queue many days in advance just to ensure that one successfully gets hold of the limited free tickets to events, promotions and shows such as Singapore's annual National Day Parade.

This word is so widely used by Singaporeans and Malaysians that it is incorporated into their English vocabulary (in the form of Singlish). It is often used in describing the social attitudes of people, especially about South East Asian society and its values. Its widespread use is often because these attitudes are common—to not lose out in a highly competitive society (e.g. by above-cited examples), or to the extent of parents imposing heavy study labour on their children in their wish to make them at the very top of all other students.

Growing up with this attitude, these students often become ambitious businesspeople, with the desire to be on top in wealth and prestige regardless of whether the most prestigious careers are aligned with their true capabilities.

Kiasu is commonly compared to Kiasi (literally, fear of death) and both are commonly used to describe behaviour where Kiasu or Kiasu-ism means to take extreme means to achieve success and Kiasi or Kiasi-ism means to take extreme means to avoid risk.

LIFE IN A JAR

"Irena Sendler turned ninety-seven in 2007. Mrs. Sendler, a Polish woman, saved 2,500 Jewish children during the Holocaust."

She takes the crying baby into her arms, turns her back on the hysterical mother, and walks off into the night. If she's caught, she and the baby will die. "Promise me my child will live!" the mother cries desperately after her. She turns for a moment. "I can't promise that. But I can promise that if he stays with you, he will die."

Irena Sendler is 97 years old. She has seen this image in her dreams countless times over the years, heard the children's cries as they were pulled from their mothers' grasp; each time it is another mother screaming behind her. To the children, she seemed a merciless captor; in truth, she was the agent to save their lives.

Mrs. Sendler, code name "Jolanta," smuggled 2,500 children out of the Warsaw Ghetto during the last three months before its liquidation. She found a home for each child. Each was given a new name and a new identity as a Christian. Others were saving Jewish children, too, but many of those children were saved only in body; tragically, they disappeared from the Jewish people. Irena did all she could to ensure that "her children" would have a future as part of their own people.

Mrs. Sendler listed the name and new identity of every rescued child on thin cigarette papers or tissue paper. She hid the list in glass jars and buried them under an apple tree in her friend's backyard. Her hope was to reunite the children with their families after the war. Indeed, though most of their parents perished in the Warsaw Ghetto or in Treblinka, those children who had surviving relatives were returned to them after the war.

Yet Irena Sendler sees herself as anything but a heroine. "I only did what was normal. I could have done more," she says. "This regret will follow me to my death."

Breaking the Silence

Though she received the Yad Vashem medal for the Righteous Among the Nations in 1965, Irena Sendler's story was virtually unknown. But in 1999 the silence was broken by some unlikely candidates: four Protestant high-school girls in rural Kansas. The girls were looking for a subject for the Kansas State National History Day competition. Their teacher, Norm Conard, gave them a short paragraph about Mrs. Sendler, from a 1994 U.S. News & World Report story, "The Other Schindlers." Mr. Conard thought the figures were mistaken. After all, no one had ever heard of this woman; Schindler, who was so famous, had rescued 1,000 Jews. 250 children seemed more likely than 2,500.

Conard encouraged the girls to investigate and unearth the true story. With his help, the girls began to reconstruct the life of this courageous woman. Searching for her burial records, they discovered, to their surprise, that she was still alive, ninety years old and living in Warsaw. The girls compiled many details of Mrs. Sendler's life, which they eventually made into a short play, "Life in a Jar." The play has since been performed hundreds of times in the United States, Canada, and Poland, and has been broadcast over radio and television, publicizing the silent heroine to the world.

Learning to Swim

Irena Sendler was born in 1910 in Otwock, some 15 miles southeast of Warsaw. Her father, a physician and one of the first Polish Socialists, raised her to respect and love people regardless of their ethnicity or social status. Many of his patients were poor Jews. When a typhus epidemic broke out in 1917, he was the only doctor who stayed in the area. He contracted the disease. His dying words to seven-year-old Irena were, "If you see someone drowning, you must jump in and try to save them, even if you don't know how to swim."

Even before the war, Irena had strong loyalties towards Jews. In the 1930s, at Warsaw University, she stood up for her Jewish friends. Jews were forced to sit separately from "Aryan" students. One day, Irena went to sit on the Jewish side of the room. When the teacher told her to move, she answered, "I'm Jewish today." She was expelled immediately. (Decades later, under Communist rule, she was considered a subversive; her son and daughter were refused entry into Warsaw University.)

In fall of 1939, Germany invaded Poland and began its campaign of mass destruction. Many Poles were quick to side with the Nazis. Although Jews had never been accepted by the Polish masses, many of them had fought alongside their Polish countrymen during the few days before the country was overrun. Now these loyalties meant nothing.

Mrs. Sendler was a senior administrator in the Warsaw Social Welfare Department, which was in charge of soup kitchens, located in every district of the city. They distributed meals and gave financial assistance and other services to the poor, elderly, and orphans. From 1939-1942, she was involved in acquiring forged documents, registering many Jews under Christian names so they could receive these services; she listed them all as typhus and tuberculosis victims, to avoid any investigations.

It wasn't enough. Irena joined the Zegota, the Council for Aid to Jews, organized by the Polish underground resistance, operating out of London with the help of many British Jews. Obtaining a pass from the Warsaw Epidemic Control Department to enter the Warsaw Ghetto, she smuggled in food, medicine, and clothing.

Over 450,000 Jews had been forced into the small 16-block area that was the Warsaw Ghetto; 5,000 were dying each month. Irena felt that her efforts were helping only to prolong the suffering, but doing nothing to save lives. She decided that the most that could be done was to try to save the children. "When the war started, all of Poland was drowning in a sea of blood. But most of all, it affected the Jewish nation. And within that nation, it was the children who suffered most. That's why we needed to give our hearts to them," Sendler said on ABC News.

Breaking Through the Walls

In 1942, Mrs. Sendler, "Jolanta," was put in charge of the Children's Division of Zegota. She and her team of twenty-five organized to smuggle out as many children as possible from the Ghetto. Ten members were to smuggle children out, ten were in charge of finding families to take the children, and five were in charge of obtaining false documents.

The hardest part was convincing parents to part with their children. Even the many secular Jewish parents shrank from the thought of surrendering their children into Catholic homes or convents, where they might be baptized or taught Christian prayers. Many chose to die with their children instead. Irena, herself a young mother, found it almost impossibly painful to have to persuade parents to part with their children, entrusting them to a non-Jewish stranger. The only thing that gave her strength to withstand this pain was the knowledge that there was no other hope for survival. Sometimes, she would finally convince the parents, only to be met with the grandparents' adamant refusal. She would be forced to leave empty-handed, returning the next day to find that the entire family had been sent to Treblinka.

Many in the Ghetto thought that Treblinka was a relocation settlement. Actually, it was even worse than Auschwitz, which was a labor camp/death camp. Treblinka, on the other hand, contained little more than gas chambers and ovens. Fighting against time, "Jolanta," entered the Ghetto several times a day, wearing on her arm a yellow Star of David to show her solidarity, desperately trying to convince parents to let her take their children. Many parents would ask her why they should trust her. "You shouldn't trust me," she would agree. "But there's nothing else you can do."

The second biggest challenge was finding Polish families. The penalty of death to every family found harboring a Jew was not always enforced, but some 700 people were killed because of it. Many of the children had to be hidden in orphanages and convents. Jolanta would write to them that she had bags of old clothes to donate; among the old clothes she would hide a child.

Then there was the smuggling of the children out of the Ghetto. Small children were sedated to keep them from crying, then hidden inside sacks, boxes, body bags, or coffins. Older children who could pretend to be ill were taken out in ambulances. Many were smuggled through sewers or underground tunnels, or taken through an old courthouse or church next to the Ghetto.

Outside the Ghetto walls, the children were given false names and documents. Mrs. Sendler claims that no one ever refused to take a child from her. But children often had to be relocated several times. She recalls carrying a little boy from one guardian family to the next, as he sobbed, "How many mothers can a person have? This is my third!"

The smuggling did not always go as planned. Fourteen-year-old Renada Zajdman was smuggled out, but then became separated from her rescuer. She survived on her own in warehouses for several months, until she was reconnected with members of Zegota.

The Church was actively involved in much of Mrs. Sendler's work. However, she stresses that the goal was not to convert people to Catholicism, but rather to save lives. Each family had to promise to return the children to any surviving family members after the war. Unfortunately, this promise was not always kept. Mrs. Sendler spent years after the war, with the help of her lists, trying to track down missing children and reconnect family members.

Of the remaining orphans, some 400 were taken to Israel with Adolph Berman, a leader in Zegota. Many others chose to stay with their adopted parents. Despite Mrs. Sendler's efforts to trace them, some 400 to 500 children are still missing; presumably they either did not survive or they are living somewhere in Poland or elsewhere, perhaps unaware of their Jewish identity.

Discovered!

For two years, Jolanta's covert operations were successful. Then, in October 20, 1943, the Gestapo caught up with her. She was arrested, imprisoned in Warsaw's notorious Pawiak prison, and tortured. Her feet and legs were broken. She still needs crutches and a wheelchair as a result of those injuries, and still carries the scars of those beatings. She refused to betray any of her co-conspirators or to reveal the whereabouts of any of the children.

Jolanta was sentenced to death by firing squad, a sentence that she accepted with pride. But unbeknown to her, Zegota had bribed one of the German guards, who helped her to escape at the last moment. He recorded her name on the list of those who had been executed. On the following day, the Germans loudly proclaimed the news of her death. She saw posters all over the city reporting it. The Gestapo eventually found out what had happened; they sent the guard to fight on the Russian front, a sentence they felt was worse than death. Irena spent the rest of the war in hiding much like the children she had saved. Relentlessly pursued by the Gestapo, she continued her rescue efforts in any way she could, but by then the Warsaw Ghetto had been liquidated.

Due to the Communist regime's suppression of history and its anti-Semitism, few Poles were aware of Zegota's work, despite the unveiling of a plaque honoring the organization, in 1995, near the former Warsaw Ghetto. Mrs. Sendler continued her life, simply and quietly, continuing to work as a social worker ... until the discovery by the Kansas teenagers catapulted her into the public arena.

Irena Sendler was awarded the Order of White Eagle, Poland's highest distinction, in Warsaw, in 2003. This year, she was nominated to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. At a special session in Poland's upper house of Parliament, President Lech Kaczynski announced the unanimous resolution to honor Mrs. Sendler for rescuing "the most defenseless victims of the Nazi ideology: the Jewish children." He referred to her as a "great heroine who can be justly named for the Nobel Peace Prize. She deserves great respect from our whole nation."
Today's Warsaw still bears testimony to Mrs. Sendler's lifesaving work. The corner store where children were hidden in the basement and the apple tree where the names of the children where buried still stand, all within sight of the German army barracks. Although the children had known her only as Jolanta, as her story became publicized, she began to receive calls from people who recognized her face from the photos: "I remember your face! You took me out of the Ghetto!"

In an interview earlier in 2007 with ABC News, Mrs. Sendler voiced some of her frustrations about how little anything has changed in the world: "After the Second World War it seemed that humanity understood something, and that nothing like that would happen again," Sendler said. "Humanity has understood nothing. Religious, tribal, national wars continue. The world continues to be in a sea of blood." But she added, "The world can be better, if there's love, tolerance, and humility."

ILMU AL-QURAN MENDAHULUI ZAMAN

The Black Stone is a Muslim object of reverence, which according to Islamic tradition dates back to the time of Adam and Eve. It is the eastern cornerstone of the Kaaba, the ancient sacred stone building towards which Muslims pray, in the center of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The Stone is roughly 30 cm (12 in.) in diameter, and 1.5 meters (5 ft.) above the ground. When pilgrims circle the Kaaba as part of the Tawaf ritual of the Hajj, many of them try, if possible, to stop and kiss the Black Stone, emulating the kiss that it received from the Islamic Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. . If they cannot reach it, they are to signal their hand to point to it on each of their seven circuits around the Kaaba.

The Stone is broken into a number of pieces from damage which was inflicted during the Middle Ages. The pieces are held together by a silver frame, which is fastened by silver nails to the Stone. Wallahu a'alam.

STONEHENGE

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in the English county of Wiltshire, about 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi) west of Amesbury and 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of Salisbury. One of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones and sits at the centre of the densest complex of NeolithicBronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds.[1]Archaeologists had believed that the iconic stone monument was erected around 2500 BC. However one recent theory has suggested that the first stones were not erected until 2400-2200 BC,[2] whilst another suggests that bluestones may have been erected at the site as early as 3000 BC.

The surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument, have been dated to about 3100 BC. The site and its surroundings were added to the UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 1986 in a co-listing with Avebury henge monument, and it is also a legally protected Scheduled Ancient Monument. Stonehenge itself is owned by the Crown and managed by English Heritage while the surrounding land is owned by the National Trust.[3][4] and

New archaeological evidence found by the Stonehenge Riverside Project indicates that Stonehenge served as a burial ground from its earliest beginnings.[5] The dating of cremated remains found on the site shows that burials took place there as early as 3000 BC, when the initial ditch and bank were first dug. Burials continued at Stonehenge for at least another 500 years.[6]

Air Musoffa, Air Zam-zam

Assalammualikum,

Iman and Character - Jamaal ad-Deen Zarabozo / The Friday Prayer II:

Allah says in the Qur'an: "And I created not jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (alone)." [Adz-Dzaariyaat-, 56]

"Say, Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the Worlds." [al-An'aam, 162]

"O believers! Enter perfectly and completely into Islam." [al-Baqara, 208]

When one thinks about these three verses, he will easily conclude that all of this life is ruled by our religion of Islam. To put it differently, there is a relationship between our belief in
La Illaha Illa-llah and every action that we make in this world. If we have the correct and true concept of "There is no God but Allah", this belief will have a complete effect on us. It will change us into the person that reflects the belief in this shahadah. In fact, that is the goal that we must aspire to.

Unfortunately, many times we forget that vital fact. Muhammad Qutb once wrote that during a doctoral thesis defense in the Department of Aqeedah (Islamic Beliefs), a student was stressing the relationship between character and behavior (akhlaq) and aqeedah, faith and iman. One of the committee members, who, according to Muhammad Qutb, was very famous and supposed to be very knowledgeable, said, "What is the relationship between character and aqeedah (beliefs)? Aqeedah as we learned it in our studies deals with the concept of God, prophethood, and what has been transmitted. As for character and behavior, it is an independent subject."

If you think about what this college professor said you will understand why so many Muslims are having manners and behavior that are completely inconsistent with their belief in Islam. One reason for this, Allah knows best, is that they completely do not understand the relationship between their behavior and their claim to belief in
La illaha illa-Allah. They simply think that this shahadah is something that they say with their tongues; it involves fasting and praying and that is about it. But if we look to some of the hadeeth of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. , we can see the true relationship between character and iman. We can see the importance of proper behavior in Islam.

Note the following hadeeth of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. ,: "I have been sent for the purpose of perfecting good morals."1 . In this hadeeth, the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. has clearly stated that one of the important aspects of his being sent as a prophet was to show what the good morals and manners are. That is, he was to show the manners and the behavior consistent with the belief in Allah.

"I am a guarantor of a house in the highest part of Paradise for the one who makes his behavior good."2 . This hadeeth clearly shows the reward for improving and perfecting one's behavior.

"Piety and righteousness are being of good character." (Recorded by Muslim)

"There is nothing heavier in the scales than good character."3

In fact, when Allah described the believers - those who will be the successful, Allah described them, after stating that they were believers, by their behavior. Allah says,

"Successful indeed are the believers. Those who offer their prayers with all solemnity and full submissiveness. And those who turn away from vain talk. And those who pay the Zakat. And those who guard their chastity except from their wives or (the captives) that their right hands posses - for then, they are free from blame. But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors. Those who are faithfully true to their trusts and to their covenants. And those who strictly guard their prayers. These are indeed the heirs. Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever." (al-Muminoon, 1-11)

On the other hand, when the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad s.a.w. , described the hypocrites, he described them by their actions and behavior. And he stated that whoever possesses any one of those characteristics has a characteristic of hypocrisy until he gives it up. Those characteristics include lying while speaking, breaking one's trust and so on. (Recorded by Bukhari and Muslim).

Before we continue, it is important to first discuss the source of our akhlaq or behavior. Where do we get our manners and behavior? Do we get it from the disbelievers and their way of life? Do we get it from different jahili (non-Islamic) societies that are spread throughout the Muslim world? Do we get our behavior from our own desires and liking? Unfortunately, the ways of the disbelievers, the ways of the non-Islamic Muslim societies and our liking and desires is often the source of our behavior and manners. But, obviously, that is not how it is supposed to be.

Instead, our behavior and manners are supposed to be derived from the Qur'an and sunnah. Indeed, our life and our behavior should be an actualization and implementation of the Qur'an and sunnah. This is exactly what our example and model, the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w., was like. When Aisha, the Prophet's wife, was asked about the character of the Prophet, sallalahu allayhe wa salam, she answered, "His character was the Qur'an." (Recorded by Muslim)

The Qur'an and the sunnah show us how to behave towards our wives, our neighbors, our friends, our enemies and even our own souls. The Prophet Muhammad, has even given us guidance on how to behave to animals. I was outside the Inviolable Mosque in Mecca one day and I saw a "religious looking man" walking toward the entrance to the Mosque. In front of him was a small cat. Instead of easily going around the cat, or gently pushing the cat aside, this Muslim kicked the cat out of his way. I asked myself how could someone who believes in the shahadah behave in this manner? Is that how the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad s.a.w. , behaved? Did that man think that he was so great, since he is a Muslim and a believer, that he can do whatever he wishes to Allah's creation? Did he not think of the hadeeth in which the Prophet Muhammad , mentioned that a woman was thrown into Hell because she neither let her cat out to feed itself, nor did she feed it? Did he not think of the hadeeth which states that a person was forgiven because he gave a dog some water to drink after he found it to be thirsty as the man himself was? In fact - and this is the question that the whole matter revolves around - did he even think at all that there was any relationship between his belief in "There is no god but Allah" and how he behaved toward that cat?

And that is our problem. We go through life and we do things without ever thinking about the acts we do and their relationship to our belief in the Oneness of Allah and our testimony of faith. We have our goals in life, we take jobs, we study different fields in school, we have hobbies, we have certain friends and we never view these things in the light of
La ilaha illa-Allah.

The shahadah is something that covers all of our lives: whether it is our prayers, our behavior in general, our sustenance, whatever the case might be, there is some relationship between that act and our belief in Islam. This fact must be ever-present in our minds.

Allah says in the Qur'an, "Verily the believers are but one brotherhood." (al-Hujurat, 10) The believers are but one brotherhood. This, again, is demanded by and related to their belief in
La ilaha illa-Allah. By being brothers, their behavior towards one another must be something special, something beyond the ordinary.

Tiger Woods taking hiatus from golf

I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.

I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

Rujuk Quran Surah Al-Jasiyah ayat19:

THE AMAZING CUCUMBER

This information was in The New York Times several weeks ago as part of
their "Spotlight on the Home" series that highlighted creative and fanciful
ways to solve common problems.

1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one
cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3,Vitamin B5, Vitamin
B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium,Phosphorus, Potassium
and Zinc.

2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up
a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates
that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.

3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.

4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a
small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The
chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent
undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the
area.

5. Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or
to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem
area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the
collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing
the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!

6. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices
before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers
contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential
nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a
hangover and headache!!

7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers
have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders
and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.

8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't
have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the
shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only
looks great but also repels water.

9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and
rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!

10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the
spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the
chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber with react with the boiling water
and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has
been shown the reduce stress in new mothers and college students during
final exams.

11. Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints?
Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your
tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemcials will kill
the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.

12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless
steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to

but is won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while
you clean.

13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and
slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and
markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!

Pass this along to everybody you know who is looking for better and safer
ways to solve life's everyday problems..

GOING BANANA

The fully ripe banana produces a substance called TNF ( tumor necrosis factor) which has the ability to combat abnormal cells.

So don't be surprised if the shop goes out of stock for
bananas.

As the banana ripens, it developed dark spots or patches on the skin. The more dark patches it has, the higher will be its immunity enhancement quality .

Hence the Japanese love bananas for a good reason.

According to a Japanese scientific research,
banana contains TNF which has anti-cancer properties.
The degree of anti-cancer effect corresponds to the degree of ripening of the fruit, i.e the riper the banana, the better
the anti-cancer quality..

In an experiment carried out by a professor on animals in Tokyo comparing the various health benefits of different fruits, using banana, grape, apple, water melon, pineapple, pear and persimmon, it was found that banana gave the best results. It increased the number of white blood
cells, enhanced the immunity of the body and produced anti-cancer substance TNF.

The recommendation is to eat 1 to 2 banana a day to increase your body immunity to diseases like cold, flu and others.

According to the Japanese professor, yellow skin bananas with dark spots
on it are 8 times more effective in enhancing the property of white blood cells than the green skin version .

HUJAN MASIH TURUN

Hari ini Jumaat 4 Disember 2009. Bangun dan sediakan dan minum susu Alpha Lipid Lifeline. Jam 5.00 aku dah pecut ke Masjid Taman BDC. Subuh masuk jam 5.06, dan qamat jam 5.25 pagi. Imam yg bertugas ialah Ustaz Asri. Pagi Jumaat macam biasa lah ada sujud sajdah.

Selesai solat baca Quran beramai-beramai satu mukasurat saja. Lepas itu dikuti dgn bacaan terjemahannya. Habis quran , tukar pula ke hadith Nabi s.a.w.

Sampai balik ke rumah jam6.15 pagi. Marah sungguh.

Hujan terus turun.

Aku tinggal seorang diri. Buat kopi dan sediakan quicker oatmeals. Masukkan madu lebah dan air panas ditambah sedikit air sejuk. Habis semangkuk menjadi sarapan pagi. Hujan terus turun.

"On"kan computer. Tengok facebook. Ada mssage dari Liza anak mak Jay dan Abah Jay di Mengkuan Sekolah, Bt. Mertajam. Dia orang sekarang ini tinggal di Germany. Sambung belajar. Liza masih dalam pantang. Anak pertama lahir pada 23 Oktober yg lalu. Tahniah dari Pak Long dan Mak Long.

Hujan masih turun.
